The Winnipeg Jets, in partnership with the National Hockey League (NHL) and the NHL Players’ Association (NHLPA), have announced that forward Kyle Connor and goaltender Connor Hellebuyck will represent the United States, while defenseman Josh Morrissey will play for Canada at the 2024 4 Nations Face-Off. This event will take place in Montreal, Quebec, and Boston, Massachusetts from February 12-20/25.
Connor, 28, leads the Jets with 13 goals and 29 points in 26 games this season. The Shelby Township, Michigan native is tied for second in goals (13) and tied for third in points (27) among American-born players in the NHL for the 2024-25 season. He was also named the NHL’s Second Star of the Month for October. Connor won a gold medal with Team USA at the 2014 World Under-18 Championship and represented the U.S. at the 2016 World Championship.
Hellebuyck, 31, leads NHL goalies in wins (15) and shutouts (3), and ranks second in goals-against average (2.16) and save percentage (.927) among goalies with more than nine games played. The Commerce, Michigan native also tops all American-born goalies in games played (20), saves (586), and minutes (1,197). Last season, Hellebuyck won both the Vezina Trophy and William Jennings Trophy and was named the NHL’s Third Star of the Month for November. He has represented the U.S. at three World Championships, earning a bronze medal in 2015.
Morrissey, 29, leads the Jets in assists (21) and average ice time (24:31 per game) in 26 games this season. The Calgary, Alberta native ranks among the top-five Canadian NHLers in both assists (5th: 21) and time-on-ice (4th: 24:31). He is also second in points (23) and assists (21) among Canadian-born defensemen. Morrissey has represented Canada in several international competitions, winning a gold medal at the 2015 World Juniors and a silver medal at the 2017 World Championship.
