Duke basketball has added another key piece to its roster, securing a commitment from Loyola Maryland transfer.
The 6-foot-4, 204-pound junior guard announced on Saturday, May 2, that he will join head coach Jon Scheyer and the Blue Devils, further strengthening a roster that is being aggressively reshaped through both recruiting and the transfer portal. Theodosiou becomes Duke’s third transfer addition this offseason, following the commitments of John Blackwell from Wisconsin and Drew Scharnowski from Belmont, signaling a clear effort by the program to blend experienced college talent with elite incoming freshmen.
A native of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, Theodosiou has taken a steady developmental path through his college career. He began at Wyoming before transferring to Loyola Maryland, where he spent the last two seasons emerging as a reliable scoring guard for the Greyhounds. During the 2025–26 campaign, he averaged 13.1 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game while shooting an efficient 46.1% from the field. His combination of size, scoring ability, and experience should provide Duke with valuable backcourt depth and versatility.

Theodosiou’s arrival comes as Duke prepares to retain a strong core of returning players, including Caleb Foster, Patrick Ngongba II, Dame Sarr, Sebastian Wilkins, and Cayden Boozer. That returning group, combined with the incoming transfers, gives Scheyer a solid mix of continuity and experience heading into next season.
In addition, Duke is set to welcome one of the nation’s top-ranked recruiting classes, featuring highly touted prospects Cameron Williams, Deron Rippey Jr., Bryson Howard, Maxime Meyer, and Joaquim Boumtje-Boumtje. The blend of proven college contributors and elite young talent positions the Blue Devils as a team to watch, with expectations of competing at a high level in the upcoming season.
