BREAKING: Boston Red Sox Ahead Of Dodger and Mets In a Race To Sign $121 Million rising superstar

Boston is still in the race for a playoff spot, though time is running out. Currently, the Red Sox are four games behind in the American League Wild Card standings with only a few weeks left. The odds are not in Boston’s favor at the moment, but there’s still a chance.

The upcoming series against the Minnesota Twins could prove crucial for the Red Sox’s playoff hopes. They need to secure wins immediately to stay in contention.

Looking ahead to 2025, the Red Sox are expected to be stronger, and adding a top-tier starter this offseason could be pivotal in shifting from being a playoff outsider to a serious contender. Jack Flaherty has been suggested as a potential target by MLB.com’s Mark Feinsand.

“Flaherty’s initial attempt at free agency didn’t go as planned last year, so he took a one-year, $14 million contract with the Detroit Tigers,” Feinsand noted. “That decision paid off: Flaherty performed well in 18 starts with Detroit before being traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers before the Trade Deadline. Given the current pitching market, which is top-heavy but lacking depth, Flaherty is likely to secure a multi-year deal this offseason. Potential suitors include the Dodgers, New York Mets, and Red Sox.”

Though Flaherty will be costly, he’s worth the investment. The 28-year-old boasts a 3.04 ERA, and Spotrac estimates his next contract could be around $121 million over six years. If the Red Sox are aiming to add a premier starter, Flaherty should be their top target. The team showed interest in him last year and should make a move to secure him now.
