University of Kentucky football kept up its fast start in the 2027 recruiting cycle by securing a commitment from another talented tight end on Friday.
Hart, a 6-foot-5, 235-pound in-state prospect from Lexington, is the newest addition to a quickly expanding class led by head coach Will Stein. The three-star tight end committed to the Wildcats soon after earning his first Power 4 scholarship offer from Kentucky.
The local standout was on campus less than two weeks ago, where he watched practice and spent time with Stein and the coaching staff. After Kentucky officially offered him on Thursday, the momentum quickly built, resulting in Hart’s pledge just a day later.
Hart also held offers from Eastern Kentucky, Western Kentucky, Toledo, Ohio, Miami (OH), and others. He had official visits scheduled with Toledo and Ohio in late May and June, but don’t expect those to happen now after his commitment.

This past year, Hart played a key role in Lexington Christian Academy’s 2025 Class 2A state championship run under head coach Oakley Watkins. In the title game at Kroger Field, Hart caught three passes for 15 yards and a touchdown in a 33-28 victory over Owensboro Catholic.
While playing in his junior year, he totaled 16 receptions for 190 yards and four touchdowns, adding two rushing scores. Defensively, he also recorded 47 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, and a fumble recovery.
Hart is the second tight end in Kentucky’s 2027 class, joining Tank Proctor, as the Wildcats move to 12 commitments.
