Alabama secured a major defensive commitment on Monday night by flipping four-star highly ranked player, marking a significant addition in the final stretch of the 2025 recruiting cycle.
A 6-foot, 175-pound defensive back from Winter Garden, Florida, is ranked as the No. 5 cornerback and No. 50 overall player in the 2025 ESPN 300. He joins the Crimson Tide as the sixth-ranked recruit in Kalen DeBoer’s first class, which now includes three cornerbacks ranked in the ESPN 300.

Originally committed to Notre Dame, Taylor switched his commitment to Michigan in July, becoming the second-highest ranked player in the Wolverines’ 2025 class. However, he continued to engage with Alabama throughout the fall, including a visit to Tuscaloosa on September 28. His commitment now boosts Alabama’s class, adding the 14th ESPN 300 recruit to the nation’s top-ranked class.
