If the 2025 NFL draft were happening today, the Pittsburgh Steelers would likely be inclined to pursue a wide receiver in the first round. After struggling to acquire a receiver this offseason, it seems logical that they would focus on that position moving forward.
ESPN’s Jordan Reid recently released a mock draft, suggesting that the Steelers should consider Texas wide receiver Isaiah Bond, one of the most exciting prospects available. Reid notes that, despite the Steelers being 4-2 and leading the AFC North, the team has several areas that need improvement.
Regardless of who is playing quarterback, Pittsburgh needs more playmakers beyond George Pickens. Bond, who has shown his potential this season after transferring from Alabama, is not only capable of making deep plays but also excels at turning shorter passes into significant gains. His speed compels defenses to take him seriously, and he has already scored four touchdowns this season.
While there are several top-tier receivers in the upcoming draft, Bond stands out as an all-around talent who would be a great fit for the Steelers.
