The St. Louis Blues announced on Monday that forward has been placed on Injured Reserve due to an upper-body injury.
The 25-year-old forward recorded one assist in the Blues’ 3-2 victory over the Seattle Kraken. However, an upper-body injury has kept Texier out of the next two games.
Last season, he recorded 12 goals and 18 assists for 30 points in 78 games with the Columbus Blue Jackets. He was traded to the St. Louis Blues in June for a fourth-round pick in 2025.
Now in his sixth NHL season, Texier has tallied 34 goals and 46 assists for 80 points over 202 regular-season games with both the Blues and the Blue Jackets.
Texier is among just 13 players in NHL history from France. After scoring 10 goals and nine assists for 19 points in 40 games with Grenoble in France, he was selected by Columbus in the second round of the 2017 NHL Entry Draft. He spent the next two seasons with KalPa Kuopio in Finland’s SM-liiga, accumulating 27 goals and 36 assists for 63 points in 108 games.
Texier also played a season with Zurich SC in the Swiss league during 2022-23, where he netted 13 goals and 22 assists for 35 points in 46 games.
Last season, the Blues finished with a record of 43-33-6, earning 92 points and falling just six points short of the second Wild Card spot in the Western Conference. Forward Robert Thomas led the team with 60 assists and 86 points, while Jordan Kyrou topped the team with 31 goals.
The Blues’ next game is Tuesday against the Minnesota Wild, with puck drop scheduled for 7:30 PM ET.
