Previously, Washington State had extended a scholarship offer to the San Diego area prospect.
247Sports has Herrera rated as a three-star prospect and the #43 quarterback in the class of 2026, as well as the #67 prospect in California.
According to 247Sports, the 6’3″, 190-pound Herrera is one of 13 quarterbacks in the 2026 class to receive a scholarship offer from Washington State, with five of those players already committing to other programs. The Cougars do have a commitment in their 2025 class from three-star quarterback Steele Pizzella, a prospect from Sherman Oaks.
Washington State does not yet have a verbal commitment in the class of 2026.
