247Sports has rated him as a three-star prospect, ranking him as the #43 quarterback in the class of 2026 and the #67 prospect in California.
According to 247Sports, the 6’3″, 190-pound Herrera is among 13 quarterbacks in the 2026 class who have received scholarship offers from Washington State, with five of them already committing to other programs. Additionally, WSU has a quarterback commit in their 2025 class, three-star prospect Steele Pizzella from Sherman Oaks.
Washington State do not yet have a verbal commitment in the class of 2026.
