The Green Bay Packers will be missing three important starters and a key backup when they take on the Los Angeles Rams today.
Starting wide receivers Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson are both sidelined, along with cornerback Jaire Alexander and backup defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt, who leads the team with 3.0 sacks.
Doubs was suspended due to conduct deemed detrimental to the team. He failed to show up for work on Thursday and Friday, reportedly unhappy with his role in the passing game, leading to his suspension on Saturday.
“Unfortunately, we had to make the difficult decision to suspend Romeo for this week’s game,” Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst said. “His decisions and actions during the week negatively impacted the team and required us to take this action. While we are certainly disappointed, we are confident that we will be able to move forward in a positive manner.”
