Pittsburgh Steelers star, their first-round pick, suffered a knee injury during practice on Friday and has been placed on injured reserve. He started last week’s game against the Denver Broncos and performed well, aiming to establish a strong run. However, following his injury, the team announced he will miss Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers and is expected to be sidelined for a month.
Fautanu had earned the right tackle position over Broderick Jones by outshining him in preseason and early games. With Fautanu now injured, the Steelers will need to turn back to Jones for their upcoming match.
This could affect the Steelers’ passing game on Sunday as quarterback Justin Fields makes his third consecutive start, while Russell Wilson continues to recover from a calf injury he sustained on the first day of training camp this summer.
