BREAKING: Mind-blowing news emerge for Yankees

New York Yankees  baseman who hasn’t played in an MLB game since mid-June, is making his return just days before a likely emotional visit to Chicago’s Wrigley Field. Rizzo, who was a key player in the Cubs’ 2016 World Series victory, is set to play at Wrigley for the first time since his trade to the Yankees before the 2021 MLB trade deadline.

While Rizzo has faced the Cubs in games at Yankee Stadium since his trade, this will be his first time back at Wrigley Field in a visiting uniform. His last MLB appearance was on June 16, when he suffered a broken right forearm in a collision with Red Sox pitcher Brennan Bernardino.

He was instrumental in the Cubs’ 2016 World Series championship, hitting 32 home runs and driving in 109 RBIs during the regular season. Rizzo also recorded the final out of the 2016 World Series at Cleveland’s Progressive Field, ending the Cubs’ 108-year championship drought.
