BREAKING: Five-star super talent commits to Mississippi State over four prominent programs

Another super talent has committed to the Mississippi State Bulldogs, becoming the fourth recruit for the 2026 class. First-year head coach Jeff Lebby, who has been making strides in recruiting for the 2025 class this summer, has now added four players to the following year’s roster.

Known for his high-paced offensive style and strong track record with quarterbacks, Lebby values signal-callers who can make plays with their legs, and Johnson fits this profile perfectly.

Michael Johnson

The quarterback from Hampton, GA, has received offers from schools such as Cincinnati, UCF, Troy, and West Virginia. He is rated as a 3-star prospect by Rivals and ON3.

Standing at 6-1 and weighing 175 pounds, Johnson still has room to develop as he approaches his junior year. Despite this, he already shows impressive elusiveness, speed, and the ability to make accurate throws on the move.

At Dutchtown High School, Johnson runs a modern offense that highlights his skills and prepares him for collegiate play. Lebby clearly values athletic quarterbacks, and Johnson’s abilities align well with the demands of his offensive system.
