The highly regarded 2026 five-star quarterback from San Marcos (Calif.) Mission Hills, has finalized his recruitment decision after visits to both Penn State and Ohio State. He has chosen to commit to Penn State, heading to Happy Valley.

“The big thing for me was the family environment,” Huhn said. “Coach (James) Franklin and the entire staff made me feel incredibly welcome. When I walked into that office, it felt like home. I appreciated the support and the genuine affection they showed me. I felt like a priority, and that was really important to me.”

Huhn also highlighted his discussions with new offensive coordinator Andy Kotelnicki as a major factor in his decision. He immediately connected with Kotelnicki, who he described as “awesome.”

“He’s definitely the heart of the offense,” Huhn said. “He’s great to be around—fun but also serious when it counts. I’m excited to play for him.”

Reflecting on the whirlwind of recent weeks, Huhn noted the hectic nature of his recruitment. Texas was initially a strong contender, but with Dia Bell’s commitment to the Longhorns, and Michigan’s interest waning after Brady Hart’s commitment to the Wolverines, his recruitment took unexpected turns.

“The process was a bit crazy,” Huhn admitted. “I remember visiting Michigan and finding out they had just received a commitment, which led me to cancel my trip. Despite the chaos, I’m glad it worked out because I found the right place for me.”
