Teams face challenging decisions, and Green Bay will have its share of tough calls to make. Cody Williams from FanSided compiled a list of three players who might be cut before the new season starts, including offensive lineman Andre Dillard.
Williams noted, “The Packers brought in Andre Dillard this offseason, aiming to strengthen the offensive line in front of Jordan Love. Brian Gutekunst, the team’s general manager, added the former first-round pick to enhance depth. However, as the offensive line’s structure takes shape, Dillard’s position might be in jeopardy.”
He continued, “Green Bay has promising young players like Sean Rhyan and Kadeem Telfort, who are favored by the team. With many of their linemen already being versatile, Dillard’s added flexibility might not be as crucial for the Packers as it could be for other teams.”
While this doesn’t guarantee Dillard will be cut, he is a player to keep an eye on in the coming weeks.
