For the second time in three days, the Virginia Tech Hokies have added a promising recruit to their 2025 class. On Friday, they secured a commitment from four-star wide receiver Snook Peterkin.
On Sunday, they welcomed another familiar name to their roster: three-star athlete Luke Stuewe. Stuewe, the son of former Virginia Tech wide receiver Michael Stuewe, announced his commitment to the Hokies. Michael Stuewe played for Virginia Tech from 1994 to 1997, starting in 32 games and ending his college career with 53 receptions for 689 yards and five touchdowns.
Luke Stuewe, who attends Avon Lake High School in Avon Lake, Ohio, stands 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 195 pounds. He has the versatility to play either wide receiver or safety at the collegiate level.
Although he received his offer from Virginia Tech last summer, Stuewe’s recruiting process was impacted by a significant injury during his junior season. Despite this, his speed and athleticism caught the attention of Tech’s coaches.
Luke Stuewe is the 17th commitment for Virginia Tech’s 2025 recruiting class.
Welcome home, Luke.
