BREAKING: St Louis Blues confirm exciting mind-blowing news as another super talent signs with franchise

St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced that the team has signed 22-year-old talented to a two-year contract extension with an average annual value of $3.75 million.

The 22-year-old has started the 2024-25 season strong, netting two goals and three points in his first six games. Last season, Neighbours achieved a personal best with 27 goals in 77 games.

In his first four seasons with the Blues, he has recorded 36 goals, 17 assists, and 51 penalty minutes in 135 regular-season games.

During his rookie year in 2022-23, he scored six goals and 10 points in 43 games, while also contributing 16 points in 23 games with the Springfield Thunderbirds, the Blues’ AHL affiliate. He later represented Canada at the IIHF World Championships, where he notched five points in 10 games and earned a gold medal.

Drafted 26th overall by the Blues in the 2020 NHL Draft, Neighbours made his NHL debut in the 2021-22 season, recording two points in nine games before returning to the WHL’s Edmonton Oil Kings. That year, he captained the Oil Kings to a WHL Championship, accumulating 45 points in 30 games and adding 17 points in 19 postseason games. Over his five-year WHL career, he totaled 176 points in 171 games.

The Blues, currently at 4-2-0, are scheduled to face the Winnipeg Jets tonight, followed by games against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday and the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday.
