BREAKING: Green Bay Packers fans receive unexpected news involving WR

The Green Bay Packers have not confirmed whether wide receiver  will be available for the Week 5 game against the Los Angeles Rams. He missed the last two practices of the week for a “personal” reason. Coach Matt LaFleur mentioned it was a personal matter when asked about Doubs’ absence from practice on October 3, but he also expressed hope that Doubs would be back for the final practice on October 4.

“Yeah, I would hope so,” LaFleur said Thursday when asked if he anticipated Doubs could return for the team’s final practice on Friday. “We’ll take it one day at a time.”

Doubs did not return for Friday’s practice, leaving his availability for the game against the Rams on October 6 in question. The Packers have officially categorized him as “doubtful” in their final injury report for Week 5.

“It’s still day-to-day,” LaFleur clarified Friday.

Packers WR Romeo Doubs misses practice due to personal reason

Doubs currently ranks second on the Packers with 160 receiving yards and is tied for second with 12 receptions in the first four games of the 2024 season. If he isn’t cleared to play against the Rams, the team will have to find a way to fill the gap left by one of Jordan Love’s most dependable targets, especially with several other players also unavailable.

Packers Already Down Christian Watson & Luke Musgrave

The uncertainty surrounding Doubs’ status is compounded by the absence of top wide receiver Christian Watson, who is sidelined with an ankle injury. Watson got hurt while attempting to make a catch during the first quarter of the Week 4 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Although he initially walked off the field with assistance, he was later carted to the locker room and ruled out for the remainder of the game.

Fortunately, Watson’s injury wasn’t as serious as it appeared. Coach LaFleur stated on October 2 that they “dodged a real bullet” and that Watson might only need about a week to recover. However, he has been listed as “doubtful” for the game against the Rams, which could pose further challenges for the offense.

Additionally, tight end Luke Musgrave may also miss the game after suffering an ankle injury in Week 4. He did not participate in any practices during Week 5, leading the team to list him as “questionable” for the matchup.
