BREAKING: Pittsburgh Steelers revealed their plans at the quarterback position Ahead Of Next Games

The Pittsburgh Steelers are entering Week 4 with a consistent view on the quarterback situation. Head coach Mike Tomlin has not officially named Justin Fields the starter, but the expectation is that Fields will be the starting quarterback against the Indianapolis Colts.

Currently, Russell Wilson is not anticipated to fully participate in practice this week, so the team will proceed as if Fields is the starter. If Wilson’s condition changes, they are open to adjusting their plans, but for now, they’re maintaining the same approach as the past two weeks.

Tomlin explained his reluctance to officially designate Fields as the long-term starter, stating that “there’s no need to,” given Wilson’s ongoing calf injury.

Fields recently had his best game with the Steelers, completing 25 of 32 passes for 245 yards and a touchdown. He did throw his first interception of the season but helped lead the team to their first multi-touchdown game, contributing one touchdown through the air and another on the ground.

The Steelers will continue with their regular practice schedule on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, followed by a walk-through. If Wilson is unable to participate fully by the end of the week, there will be no discussions about changing quarterbacks.

Pittsburgh is 3-0 heading into Indianapolis, with recent victories over the Atlanta Falcons, Denver Broncos, and Los Angeles Chargers. Fields has completed 55 of 75 passes for 518 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception, while also rushing for 90 yards and a touchdown.
