On Wednesday evening, TCU men’s basketball secured a significant commitment as another four-star announced his decision to join the Horned Frogs, making him the first recruit for the 2025 class. Edwards, the talented player who picked TCU over Colorado, is ranked as the No. 61 overall prospect in the nation by the 247Sports composite rankings and is part of the ESPN 100. The 6-foot-2 shooting guard also had offers from schools like USC, LSU, Oklahoma State, Arkansas, Auburn, and Texas, among others.
Edwards’ commitment continues TCU’s strong recruiting momentum, following the signing of two four-star players (Micah Robinson and David Punch) and two three-star players (Malick Diallo and Ashton Simmons) in the 2024 class. Additionally, TCU bolstered its roster with six transfers, including Frankie Collins from Arizona State, Noah Reynolds from Green Bay, Brendan Wenzel from Wyoming, Trazarien White from UNC-Wilmington, R.J. Jones from Kansas State, and Vasean Allette from Old Dominion. Edwards is now the third-highest-rated high school player to commit to TCU, trailing only Blake Adams and P.J. Fuller.
