Huge Boost: Pirates Announce another Significant Addition

East Carolina Men’s Basketball has officially welcomed forward Reid Cason, who signed with the team on Friday morning.

A native of Kingston, Okla., Cason averaged a double-double last season during his senior year at Kingston High School, posting 23 points and 12 rebounds per game, along with four assists and three blocks. Over his high school career, he earned Lake Country All-Conference honors all four years, was named Defensive Player of the Year twice, and accumulated over 1,000 points and rebounds.

Head coach Michael Schwartz expressed excitement about the new addition, stating, “We are excited to welcome Reid Cason to the Pirate family. He is a well-rounded student-athlete who excels both on the court and in the classroom. At 6’10”, Reid brings a blend of skills and versatility, capable of playing effectively both inside and on the perimeter. He is an ideal fit for our offensive and defensive strategies.”

Additionally, Cason has been recognized as a three-time member of the New Year Classic All-Tournament Team and a two-time selection for the Wampus Cat Classic All-Tournament Team.
