BREAKING: Texas Rangers reportedly confirm the release of reliever with wealth of experience

The Texas Rangers have officially announced the release of veteran reliever, marking the end of his brief stint with the club.

A  seasoned bullpen arm with years of Major League experience, he joined the Rangers as a depth option aimed at stabilizing their relief corps. However, inconsistent performances and roster adjustments appear to have influenced the organization’s decision to move on.

The 36-year-old pitcher is best known for his time with the Boston Red Sox, where he played a key role during their 2018 World Series championship run. Over his career, Brasier has built a reputation as a hard-throwing reliever capable of handling high-leverage situations, though recent seasons have seen fluctuations in his effectiveness.

In a brief statement, the Rangers thanked Brasier for his professionalism and contributions, wishing him the best in the next phase of his career. The move opens up a roster spot as the team continues to evaluate bullpen options early in the season.

Brasier is now expected to draw interest from other clubs seeking experienced relief pitching, particularly contenders looking to add depth to their bullpen.
