BREAKING: Another highly rated super talent flip commitment from SDSU to Huskies

With less than three weeks remaining until early signing day, Washington and coach Jedd Fisch have secured another addition to their 2025 recruiting class.

A 5-foot-11, 180-pound running back from Anaheim, California, announced on social media that he is changing his commitment from San Diego State to Washington. He becomes the second running back to commit to UW for this recruiting cycle.

Carr is a three-star running back according to the 247Sports composite rankings, where he’s ranked as the No. 98 running back and No. 98 player in California. However, 247Sports itself rates him higher, placing him as the No. 81 player in the state and No. 68 at his position.

A product of Servite High School in Southern California, Carr also had offers from Colorado State, Nevada, and Utah. He had been committed to San Diego State since May 11.

As a junior, Carr rushed for 1,201 yards and 17 touchdowns, in addition to catching 27 passes for 233 yards.

With the 2024 season coming to a close, Washington will lose two running backs—sixth-year senior Cameron Davis and fifth-year senior Daniyel Ngata.

Jonah Coleman, the leading rusher, has one more year of eligibility remaining but is also eligible for the NFL draft. Coach Fisch has previously indicated that he expects Coleman to return for his final season. Junior Sam Adams II, a former standout at Eastside Catholic High School, also has one year left.

The rest of running backs coach Scottie Graham’s group includes Adam Mohammed, who has already used his redshirt this season, and former blue-chip recruit Jordan Washington, who made his debut against Penn State on Nov. 9.

Washington has secured a commitment from 2025 three-star running back Julian McMahan from Monte Vista High School in Northern California since March 26. Additionally, Graham has already begun building for the 2026 class, receiving a pledge from Ansu Sanoe, a composite four-star recruit from Lake Oswego, Oregon.
