Blues fans receive mind-blowing news involving 23-year-old gifted player

During Tuesday’s game between the St. Louis Blues and the Tampa Bay Lightning, there was a scary moment when Blues forward Dylan Holloway was hit in the neck by a puck. Although he continued playing without any immediate signs of distress, Holloway was later stretchered off the ice and taken to the hospital. The incident occurred some time after the initial impact, as he hadn’t shown any immediate problems following the hit.

The injury happened late in the first period when Holloway blocked a shot from Lightning forward Nick Paul. Afterward, Holloway helped push the play forward on offense with teammate Jordan Kyrou before heading to the bench. However, with 1:11 left in the period, play was halted when his teammates noticed Holloway was visibly uncomfortable and immediately called for help.

After the incident, officials decided to end the period early, with play resuming after the intermission. As Holloway was wheeled off the ice, he raised his arm in a reassuring gesture to both his teammates and the fans. The Blues later confirmed that Holloway was alert and stable, and head coach Drew Bannister provided an optimistic update on his condition.

“From what we heard, he’s doing well,” Bannister said. “He’s conscious and he’s doing well, so it’s a good sign.”

Following the Blues coach’s media address, NHL insider Frank Seravalli shared another update on X, stating that Holloway “is going to be OK,” pending the results of scans at the hospital.

“Good news: Sources say doctors indicated #stlblues Dylan Holloway is going to be OK,” Seravalli wrote. “His airway is open and unobstructed. There’s no swelling around his neck, precautionary scan scheduled at hospital. “Holloway’s parents were in town for the game and are with him at hospital.”

The Blues bounced back in the second period, netting three goals and securing a 3–2 victory, improving to a 7-6-0 record. Meanwhile, the Lightning also fell to 7-6-0, placing them third in the Atlantic Division.
