Latest: Sabres Fans Receive Mind-Blowing News From General Manager Kevyn Adams

Buffalo Sabres General Manager Kevyn Adams is prioritizing strengthening his team’s lineup while retaining all current players, as reported by Sportsnet NHL insider Elliotte Friedman. In his recent “32 Thoughts” column, Friedman mentioned that Adams has been one of the most proactive general managers at the start of the season, although he has emphasized that his approach does not involve trading away any key contributors from the roster.

“He does not wish to subtract,” Friedman wrote. “He’s trying to add.”

Despite a tough beginning to the 2024-25 NHL season, with the Sabres holding a lackluster 4-5-1 record after their first 10 games, Adams is still dedicated to his strategy.

That said, Buffalo’s record features impressive wins, including a 5-2 victory against the defending Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers and a 4-2 success over the second-best team in the West, the Dallas Stars.

In their last four games, the Sabres have netted 15 goals while conceding 12, highlighting offensive potential that Adams is eager to bolster with the right additions. Currently tied with three other teams for last place in the Atlantic Division, the Sabres have 9 points in 10 games, just one point behind Ottawa and two points away from Toronto. The competitive landscape and the desire to avoid slipping further in the standings may be motivating Adams to seek impactful acquisitions without jeopardizing any key players.
