BREAKING: Beavers confirm mind-blowing news as as another highly rated super talent commit to program

Talented player  from Amador Valley in Pleasanton, California, has committed to Oregon State in the Pac-12. The dual-threat star made his announcement on Monday.

“It felt as if I was at home still.”

“I love coach (Trent) Bray’s mindset and the way he leads the team and focuses on the small things.”

“Everything he and coach (Ryan) Gunderson, and all the other coaches were preaching were in exact alignment with what my dad, family and coaches preach over here.”

Before receiving an offer from Oregon State, he had interest from San Jose State, Boston College, Colorado State, Appalachian State, and Montana. Utah also extended an offer over the weekend. However, Ryan Gunderson had been tracking the him for some time, and the Beavers made their offer during his visit that weekend.

He is rated as a three-star prospect by 247Sports, ranking as the No. 52 quarterback in the nation and the No. 87 player in California for the 2025 class.

QB Tristan Ti'a commits to Oregon State

HOW TRISTAN TI’A FITS WITH OREGON STATE

The Beavers currently have two quarterbacks with eligibility from the transfer portal: starter Gevani McCoy and backup Gabarri Johnson. Additionally, they signed true freshman Kallen Gutridge in 2024. This leaves Ti’a with an opportunity to compete next year in a relatively thin depth chart.

WHAT WE THINK ABOUT TRISTAN TI’A

Ti’a has been a standout player we’ve followed all offseason, impressing at various events from the 7v7 circuit to the Spring Showcase in the Bay Area, the Under Armour Next Camp in Seattle, and the Sac State Mega Camp. Despite playing only half of his junior season, he garnered significant interest, leading to multiple offers after showcasing his skills in senior film. Oregon State, which had already seen him perform at the spring showcase and Sac State, recognized that Ti’a’s strong arm and athleticism make him a great fit for Ryan Gunderson’s offense. He has a quick release with minimal wasted motion and excels at placing the ball accurately. Additionally, his speed—clocking a 4.2 shuttle—adds another layer to his already versatile skill set.
