The blueliner signed a professional tryout agreement with the New Jersey Devils this offseason, seeking a fresh start in the NHL. However, Zboril didn’t make the team out of training camp, became a free agent, and hasn’t found another team since.

Once regarded as a top defensive prospect expected to be a key player for the Bruins, Zboril never solidified his place in the lineup. He is part of the 2015 draft class that has faced significant criticism, as Jake DeBrusk—who signed with the Vancouver Canucks this offseason—is the only first-round pick from that draft among the three the Bruins had to become a regular on the roster.
