BREAKING: Cincinnati Bearcats confirm unexpected heart-breaking news as another gifted player suffers season ending injury

This week, the Bearcats announced some tough injury news. Forward will miss his entire freshman season due to a knee injury, as revealed by Wes Miller to the media on Tuesday.

“He went down,” Miller said to the media. “He had knee surgery a week or so ago and he’s going to be out for the year. Like that’s a significant blow, and that really hurts the depth in our frontcourt. And a guy that we thought was going to be really good here and was trending ahead of where we thought he would be.”

McKinley was expected to see some playing time in his freshman year to help him acclimate to the program and build his strength. However, with this setback, the development of the four-star 2024 recruit will be paused for now.

In light of this news, Arrinten Page’s role as a backup big man becomes even more crucial as Cincinnati prepares to begin the season in a few weeks.
