On Tuesday, Georgia secured another skilled addition to the 2025 recruiting class, with the Bulldogs receiving a commitment from 4-star recruit.
Stagg is ranked as the No. 90 player overall according to the On3 Industry Rankings. He currently plays at IMG Academy in Florida but is originally from Chesapeake, Virginia. Georgia successfully outpaced schools like Michigan, Houston, and Oklahoma State to secure his commitment.
Standing at 6-foot-8, Stagg becomes Georgia’s second commitment for the 2025 recruiting class, joining Jacob Wilkins, who is ranked No. 42 in the class. Together, they currently position Georgia with the No. 9 overall recruiting class.
Under coach Mike White, Georgia has excelled in high school recruiting, having signed the No. 12 overall class last cycle, highlighted by 5-star recruit Asa Newell, who is anticipated to play a significant role this season.
The Bulldogs return key players such as Silas DeMary Jr. and Dylan James, in addition to a strong influx of talent from the transfer portal.
Last season, Georgia finished with a 20-17 record and a 6-12 mark in the SEC, though they did make a deep run in the NIT. As White enters his third year at Georgia, the team aims to improve. They have exhibition games scheduled for October 19 and 23, leading up to the start of the 2024-25 season at home against Tennessee Tech on November 4.
