BREAKING IN: New York Mets Coach Carlos Mendoza Confirm Bad News

Mets shortstop sat out his eighth consecutive game due to back pain but was ready to pinch hit when the team lost 5-1 to the Braves. Manager Carlos Mendoza indicated Lindor “could be in play” for Wednesday, though rain is expected.

Lindor, who wore a heat wrap while speaking to reporters, mentioned he would test his back before the game after a bone scan showed no structural issues.

He played just one inning in the last ten games, yet the Mets went 6-1 in his absence and currently hold a National League wild card spot. Lindor is open to returning as a designated hitter if necessary, emphasizing the need for any pain to be temporary rather than constant.
