The top-ranked Longhorns offered back in June and are making an impression on the in-state talent, who was also on campus at the end of July. One of the top rising junior cornerbacks in the nation has narrowed his list of schools to eight.
On Sunday afternoon, four-star CB Jamarion Vincent from Waco (Texas) Connally announced on X that he is now considering Baylor, Houston, Kansas State, Nebraska, Purdue, TCU, Texas, and Texas Tech for his recruitment.
Vincent is ranked as the No. 316 overall prospect and the No. 24 cornerback in the 2026 recruiting cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, which averages data from all four major recruiting outlets. He is also the No. 39 player in Texas.
The 6-foot-2, 165-pound Vincent is a versatile player for the Connally Cadets. As a sophomore, he threw for 856 yards and nine touchdowns while also rushing for 841 yards and 11 scores. On defense, he recorded 20 tackles and three interceptions.
In his junior season so far, Vincent has accumulated over 570 total yards and nine touchdowns, six of which have come from rushing. Connally currently holds a record of 3-1 this season.
