A number of committed prospects, including four five-star recruits—QB Keelon Russell, WR Caleb Cunningham, OL Ty Haywood, and DB Dijon Lee—will be visiting campus this weekend. Among the uncommitted prospects, five-star DL Justus Terry stands out.

Terry, ranked No. 8 in the 247 composite rankings, decommitted from USC in June. The Georgia native has been linked to the Bulldogs and, while they appear to be the frontrunners, Alabama has a strong opportunity this weekend to sway him towards Tuscaloosa.

Additionally, five prospects currently committed elsewhere are expected to visit Tuscaloosa, as Alabama seeks to flip their commitments. This group includes former Alabama commit and current Auburn pledge Derick Smith, a Top-100 athlete who could play either WR or safety. Also visiting are Michigan commits, four-star S Ivan Taylor and four-star TE Andrew Olesh, Florida four-star DL commitment Joseph Mbatchou, and 3-star LSU commit Jaiden Braker.

Flipping a recruit is always challenging, but there’s potential for Alabama to add one or two of these players to their class if they push hard.

This weekend will also be significant for future recruiting classes, with many highly regarded prospects from the 2026 and 2027 classes visiting Tuscaloosa for the game. It’s crucial for these recruits to see that DeBoer is committed to keeping the program among the elite in college football.
