Just In: So Sad! New England Patriots suffered a major loss

The New England Patriots faced a significant blow with the news that top talent will miss the remainder of the season. As a key leader and playmaker on defense, his absence is felt deeply.

With Bentley sidelined, there’s talk that the Patriots might explore trade options for linebacker support.

Dan Graziano from ESPN highlighted a couple of intriguing possibilities, including a potential trade with the Philadelphia Eagles for veteran linebacker Devin White. He noted that while the Buffalo Bills are the primary team interested, New England is also a viable option.

The Bills, who lost Matt Milano to a torn biceps and Terrel Bernard to a pectoral strain early in the season, could benefit from veteran experience on defense. Graziano mentioned the Raiders and Patriots as other teams that could be in the market.

Dec 24, 2023; Tampa, Florida, USA; Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Devin White (45) celebrates a sack against the Jacksonville Jaguars at Raymond James Stadium.

Another name mentioned is E.J. Speed from the Indianapolis Colts as a potential target for the Patriots.

Adding White could be a smart move for New England. Once considered one of the top linebackers in the league, his performance has waned in recent years, but he still has the potential to make a significant impact.

White hasn’t played yet this season for the Eagles after being signed in free agency, where he was expected to play an important role in their defense. Last season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he played 14 games and recorded 83 tackles, 2.5 sacks, two interceptions, and six passes defended, indicating he still has plenty to offer.

Expect ongoing speculation regarding New England’s trade possibilities, as the Patriots have several areas to address and may be open to making moves to strengthen their roster.
