The No. 18 Michigan Wolverines will be missing a key offensive player this Saturday. Star tight end Colston Loveland has been ruled out for the game against No. 11 USC due to an undisclosed injury. Loveland sustained a possible shoulder injury during the team’s 28-18 win over Arkansas State, but head coach Sherrone Moore has not provided details on the injury’s specifics.
In three games this season, Loveland leads the team with 19 receptions for 187 yards and a touchdown, and he is the only Wolverine with more than 10 catches and 60 receiving yards.
Additionally, the Wolverines will introduce a new starting quarterback, as junior Alex Orji takes over after Davis Warren’s rocky performance. Orji has completed 3 of 6 passes for 15 yards and has rushed for 58 yards in three games.
