BREAKING: ‘This is sad’ Florida Gators fans confirm more bad news

The Florida Gators are experiencing a difficult season, having lost two of their first three games.

Nearly three weeks ago, Miami dominated the Gators in the Swamp, and just this past weekend, Texas A&M, with their backup quarterback, also had their way with Florida.

Florida is facing a challenging season, but true freshman quarterback DJ Lagway has shown promise whenever he’s played.

With head coach Billy Napier likely facing dismissal at the end of the season, the Gators will be searching for a new coach this offseason. Former head coach Urban Meyer has already ruled out any chance of returning to the program.

Florida boasts some exceptional playmakers, but their top offensive weapon will be sidelined this week. Reports indicate that wide receiver  will miss the upcoming game against Mississippi State, a significant setback for an offense looking to gain momentum. Wilson was also absent in last week’s matchup against the Aggies, yet he still leads the team in targets and receptions this season.

Nick de la Torre from On3.com shared head coach Billy Napier’s complete remarks about Wilson’s absence this weekend.

UF position preview: Wide receiver

“We’re definitely a better team with Tre Wilson for sure,” Florida Gators head coach Billy Napier said. “But I do think Dike and Badger, in particular, stepped up in a major way. We have the ability to in formation plays to get the primary guys in position, much like we’ve done the past. We’ll take what we have each week and we’ll formation it and try to make those guys a primary and secondary. And then the tight end group has been great and obviously the backs. We’ve got to continue to create ways to get the ball to the best players. But I think last week, it’s a heck of a week for Dike and Badger. I thought they did a good job. Who’s the third? I think that’s the question mark. I think those guys will have a little opportunity this week.”
