Caitlin Clark Receives Strong Message From Indiana Fever Amid WNBA History

Caitlin Clark has made history with an outstanding rookie season in the WNBA, setting the record as the highest-scoring first-year player ever. The Indiana Fever guard has not only surpassed all other rookies in total points but also leads in assists and three-pointers for a debut season. Clark achieved this scoring milestone during the Fever’s recent win over the Dallas Wings, where she scored 35 points, recorded eight assists, and grabbed two rebounds. In the closely contested 110-109 victory, she was the top scorer and assist leader. Following her record-setting performance, the Fever shared a confident message on social media, highlighting Clark’s exceptional achievements and proclaiming that she’s “top 2 and not 2.”

“Top 2, and she ain’t 2,” the Indiana Fever posted. “Caitlin Clark ranks No. 1 among rookies all-time in points, assists and threes.”

During her rookie season, Clark has averaged 19.5 points, 8.4 assists, and 5.7 rebounds per game. She not only tops the rookie charts in average points but also leads the entire WNBA in assists. Her exceptional performance has significantly contributed to the Fever’s quest for a WNBA title, a goal they haven’t achieved in almost ten years. Currently, the Indiana Fever are ranked 6th in the WNBA standings with a 20-19 record.

The Fever are set to make their first playoff appearance since 2016. With one regular-season game left, they will face the Washington Mystics on September 19. Having earned numerous individual honors throughout the season, Clark will aim to lead the Fever to success in the postseason.
