Iowa Hawkeye defensive coach Phil Parker has reason to be pleased as one of the nation’s top cornerbacks has pledged to the University of Iowa.
A standout cornerback from Oakdale, Connecticut, has committed to Iowa, as reported by Hawk Fanatic. He chose Iowa over a strong field of competitors including Notre Dame, Penn State, Wisconsin, Rutgers, and Tennessee, made the announcement official on social media on Monday.
Hawk Fanatic reports that Bell is a perfect match for Iowa Defensive Coordinator Phil Parker, standing 6’1″ and weighing 170 pounds. Recruiting analyst Tom Lemming told Hawk Fanatic that the top star has the potential to be an outstanding cornerback at Iowa, stating, “The kid is almost like a lock. If he’s got the work ethic and Parker as his coach, he could be a number one draft pick. He’s that good.”
Lemming has rated Bell as a four-star recruit. Bell becomes the 11th player to commit to Iowa for the 2025 class and the third in the last 24 hours, as reported by Hawk Fanatic. On Sunday, offensive linemen Cameron Herron and Lucas Allgeyer also pledged to Iowa. All three prospects visited Iowa officially over the past weekend.
