Latest Yankees news: Yankees legends drop ‘heavenly’ Juan Soto truth bombs

Several iconic figures associated with the New York Yankees are commending Juan Soto for his outstanding performance this season. Soto’s impressive statistics have garnered admiration from past players, who are eager to see the star continue his career with the team in the Bronx for many years ahead.

Soto ranks second on the team this season in both home runs and runs batted in, proving to be an ideal addition to the Yankees’ offense and complementing Aaron Judge perfectly, according to former pitcher CC Sabathia.

Sabathia described the pairing as “a match made in heaven.”

Soto has been in talks with several former Yankees, including Sabathia and Jorge Posada, as well as Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez, as reported by the broadcast outlet. During the recent Old Timers Day, Soto reportedly met with several Yankee legends who aim to persuade him to remain with the team when he becomes a free agent at season’s end.

As of Tuesday’s games, Soto has tallied 38 home runs and 98 RBIs for the season.

The Yankees have something special going with Soto and Aaron Judge

“He’s just like a metronome,” Yankees pitcher Gerrit Cole said. “It’s the same look every day. It’s pretty rare. It’s really hard to do. But it’s a trait that a lot of great players, most great players, have. I think he takes it up to maybe another level. Puts his own kind of flair on it within the game. But he’s just so disciplined off the field.”

Soto’s offensive contributions have been instrumental in the Yankees securing one of the top records in the American League this year. As of Tuesday, New York stands at 83-61, holding a one-and-a-half game lead over the Baltimore Orioles in the AL East.

Both Soto and Aaron Judge are spearheading the team’s success. While Judge is leading the American League MVP race with his impressive performance, Soto is not far behind and continues to make a significant impact. His efforts are earning admiration from both teammates and coaches.
