A new scholarship offer has been extended to the Kentucky Wildcats, marking a first of its kind.
On Monday, Kentucky made its inaugural scholarship offer to a recruit from the class of 2027. Five-star small forward Baba Oladotun shared the news on Instagram.
Standing at 6-foot-8 and weighing 165 pounds, Oladotun is highly regarded, with ESPN ranking him as the top player for 2027 and On3 placing him sixth. Rivals and 247 Sports have yet to provide evaluations for him. He currently plays at James Hubert Blake High School in Maryland.
It’s noteworthy when elite recruits receive offers from prestigious programs well before they are set to enter college, and Oladotun is no exception. Besides Kentucky, he has also garnered offers from Texas, UCLA, Tennessee, Mississippi State, Indiana, Michigan, USC, Louisville, Cincinnati, Ole Miss, Florida State, and Virginia Tech.
