A tight end from Ole Miss Rebels, declared his plan to enter the transfer portal in November, and he has now revealed that he will be transferring to the East Carolina Pirates.
Conner’s freshman season at Oxford was modest, with only one catch for seven yards. However, he still has four years of eligibility left after redshirting last year. By moving to East Carolina, Conner returns to his home state of North Carolina, where he attended East Forsythe High School in Kernersville.
Additionally, Conner will be reuniting with John David Baker, a former Ole Miss co-offensive coordinator and tight ends coach who has taken on the role of offensive coordinator at East Carolina this offseason. This connection may have influenced Conner’s decision to transfer.
Rated as a three-star recruit out of high school, Conner initially chose Ole Miss over offers from South Carolina, Duke, NC State, and other schools as part of the 2023 recruiting class.
