BREAKING: Texas Rangers are set to waive two super talents

The Texas Rangers are releasing veteran outfielders, according to multiple reports from Thursday night. Grossman, 34, has a .235 batting average with three home runs and 10 RBIs in 102 at-bats across 44 games for Texas after being acquired in a May trade from the Chicago White Sox for minor league pitcher Anthony Hoopii-Tuionetoa.

 

Grossman's Early-Season Struggles at the Plate: A Cause for Concern for the  Rangers?

 

Prior to joining the Rangers, Grossman hit .211 in 25 games with Chicago. Over his 12-year career, Grossman has a .243 average with 93 home runs and 429 RBIs in 1,195 games, playing for teams including the Houston Astros, Minnesota Twins, Oakland Athletics, Detroit Tigers, Atlanta Braves, Rangers, and White Sox. He also participated in seven postseason games for the Rangers during their 2023 World Series win. Jankowski, 33, known for his defensive skills, has a .195 average with one home run and 10 RBIs in 154 at-bats over 85 games this season. For his career, he has a .236 average with 11 home runs and 94 RBIs in 662 games, playing for the San Diego Padres, Cincinnati Reds, Philadelphia Phillies, New York Mets, Seattle Mariners, and Rangers.
