BREAKING: This is sad, Hamilton Tiger-Cats release another super talent

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have released another talent. The 27-year-old had been a consistent starter for the Ticats this season, initially playing at boundary halfback before switching to the field side in Week 4.

Over 10 games this year, he accumulated 39 tackles, one tackle for loss, two interceptions (including a pick-six), and four pass knockdowns. In his rookie season with Hamilton in 2023, he recorded 43 tackles, two interceptions, one sack, and one forced fumble in 18 games.

George, standing at 5-foot-11 and weighing 203 pounds, had a notable collegiate career at the University of Tennessee, where he played in 33 games and made 10 starts. He registered 52 tackles, one tackle for loss, one interception, 10 pass knockdowns, and one fumble recovery.

Before joining the CFL, George played two seasons at Trinity Valley Community College, logging 27 tackles and two interceptions over 11 games. He was also signed as an undrafted NFL free agent by the Tennessee Titans in May 2022.
