BREAKING: 5-star super talent Commits to Florida Gators

Following their commitment from three-star tight end Micah Jones, the Florida Gators have secured another offensive addition to their 2025 recruiting class, this time at the receiver position.

Five-star wide receiver from Pembroke Pines, Fla., announced  that he has chosen Florida over rivals Florida State and Miami. He is ranked as the No. 9 receiver and the No. 57 overall prospect in the class of 2025 according to On3.

Gators WR commit Joshua Moore primed for monster season

“Time to break generational curses,” he said in his announcement, per On3’s Hayes Fawcett.

Standing 6’4″ and weighing 205 pounds, Moore brings significant length and size to the Gators’ receiving corps. If his commitment remains firm and he ultimately signs with Florida, he would become the tallest and heaviest receiver recruited by head coach Billy Napier.

During his junior year at West Broward, Moore caught 50 passes for 835 yards and nine touchdowns, leading the team in all three categories. He made a notable impact as a sophomore in 2022, amassing 1,000 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Moore was drawn to Florida partly due to the chance to be coached by receivers coach Billy Gonzales and the opportunity to play with quarterback DJ Lagway, who is anticipated to be the starting quarterback when Moore joins the team.

“Development, academic support, and a quarterback were key factors for me. UF has a standout quarterback, which is something other programs lack,” Moore said following his official visit to Gainesville on June 2.

With Moore’s commitment, the Gators have set an early precedent for their receiving corps as they aim to strengthen the position further in late June and July. Florida is projected to secure four-star target Naeshaun Montgomery and is a leading contender for four-star legacy recruit Vernell Brown III.
