Major boost: Five-star talented player commits to Kansas State

Five-star tight end committed to Kansas State, marking the highest-rated recruit in the program’s history. Cure, who had also considered Oregon, Texas A&M, and Kansas—each of which he visited between Memorial Day and now—chose Kansas State after his final official visit on June 21.

Under coach Chris Klieman, the Wildcats have recently secured commitments from notable in-state players like Avery Johnson, though none have been as highly ranked as Five-star tight end.  He will surpass Class of 2000 lineman Chris Boggas as the highest-rated player ever to commit or sign with Kansas State. The top-10 list includes prominent names such as quarterbacks Josh Freeman (No. 6) and Avery Johnson (No. 7), with Johnson expected to make a significant impact this fall in Manhattan.
