BREAKING: Good news for Phillies

On Friday, the Philadelphia Phillies activated outfielder Austin Hays from the 10-day injured list. Hays, 29, who was acquired from Baltimore in a trade on July 26, had been sidelined since August 9 due to a left hamstring strain.

This season, Hays has a .256 batting average, with four home runs and 18 RBIs across 73 games with both the Orioles and the Phillies. To clear space on the 26-man roster, the Phillies optioned outfielder Cal Stevenson to Triple-A Lehigh Valley. Stevenson, 27, had a .200 average (2-for-10), along with two walks and one RBI in seven games with Philadelphia.
