In his scouting report, Jamie Shaw of On3 praised Khamenia’s skill set but raised concerns about his finishing ability at the rim and his defensive skills. Khamenia started all six games for the USA Under-18 team at the FIBA America’s Cup, averaging 7.7 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.0 steal, and 1.0 block in 19.4 minutes, helping the team secure a gold medal.

Tommy Lloyd, who coached the Under-18 National Team at the FIBA Americas Cup this summer, may have given Nikolas Khamenia a glimpse of what playing at Arizona could be like. As of now, Arizona has not secured any commitments for the 2025 class.

Arizona will lose guard Caleb Love and forward Trey Townsend after the 2024-25 season, but everyone else on the roster has eligibility remaining. Given the current trends in basketball, it’s possible that more players could depart. Freshman forward Carter Bryant and sophomore guard K.J. Lewis might also declare for the 2025 NBA Draft.
