MAJOR BREAKING: Alabama land blockbuster commitment for another top-notch linebacker to bolster depth

Alabama football strengthened its linebacker corps by securing a transfer commitment from Colorado. He played one season for the Buffaloes, announced on social media that he will be joining the Crimson Tide.

His commitment marked Alabama’s third transfer addition of the day, following offensive lineman Kam Dewberry from Texas A&M and former Miami wide receiver Isaiah Horton.

A 6-foot-2, 230-pound linebacker, will have one season of eligibility remaining at Alabama. During his lone season at Colorado, he earned second-team All-Big 12 honors under head coach Deion Sanders.

Before his time in Boulder, he spent three seasons at Michigan, where he worked with current Alabama general manager Courtney Morgan. He then transferred to Charlotte, earning third-team All-AAC honors before moving back to a power conference.

In 2024, he totaled 82 tackles, including two sacks, and intercepted two passes for Colorado, who will conclude their season with an appearance in the Alamo Bowl after finishing with a 9-3 record.

His addition is seen as a major boost to Alabama’s linebacking unit, which may face significant changes by the 2025 season. With Deontae Lawson, who missed part of this season due to injury, and Jihaad Campbell both draft-eligible, Hill-Green could help fill the void if either player leaves for the NFL.

The transfer portal for undergraduate players remains open until December 28, and Alabama players will have a brief additional window to enter after their season ends.

The Crimson Tide’s 2024 campaign wraps up on December 31 in the ReliaQuest Bowl in Tampa, where they will face Michigan. The game is scheduled to start at 11 a.m. CT at Raymond James Stadium and will be broadcast on ESPN.
