Chicago Cubs Sign Three-Time MLB All-Star
Before Wednesday’s game, Britt Ghiroli of The Athletic reported the news that the Cubs are signing Liam Hendriks to a Minor League contract.
Ghiroli wrote: “The Chicago Cubs have signed RHP Liam Hendriks to a minor league deal, sources tell the Athletic.”
Hendriks has not appeared in an MLB game this season.
He is coming off a year where he went 0-2 with a 6.59 ERA in 14 games for the Boston Red Sox.
Hendriks’ Career

Hendriks (who is 37) spent the first three seasons of his MLB career with the Minnesota Twins.
He then had stints with the Toronto Blue Jays, Kansas City Royals, Oakland Athletics and Chicago White Sox (before the Red Sox last year).
Over 14 seasons, the three-time All-Star 33-36 with a 3.88 ERA in 490 games.
