BREAKING: Cincinnati Bearcats Secures Key Asset In Major Recruiting Win

The Cincinnati Bearcats men’s basketball continued reshaping its roster under first-year head coach Jarred Calhoun with the addition of transfer guard, giving the program 11 scholarship players heading into the upcoming season.

A 6-foot-4, 184-pound guard who spent last season at Georgia Tech Athletics, brings valuable ACC experience and backcourt depth to Cincinnati. The transfer was verified by The Enquirer after first surfacing on social media May 6, adding another experienced perimeter player to Calhoun’s rebuilding effort.

During the 2025 season with the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets men’s basketball, Fleming emerged as a regular contributor, starting 22 of 30 games. He averaged 10.4 points and 3.2 rebounds per contest while showing flashes as a versatile scoring guard capable of impacting games both on and off the ball. His shooting numbers included 37.3% from the field, 32.9% from beyond the arc, and an impressive 81.6% from the free-throw line, suggesting reliability in late-game situations and room for growth as an outside shooter.

One of Fleming’s standout performances came in non-conference action when he scored a season-high 20 points against Lafayette Leopards men’s basketball. However, some of his most notable outings occurred during ACC competition against high-level opponents familiar to Bearcats fans.

In February, Fleming delivered 15 points, five rebounds and two assists against then-No. 21 Louisville Cardinals men’s basketball, demonstrating his ability to produce against ranked competition. He also faced Clemson Tigers men’s basketball twice, struggling during the regular-season matchup with just four points before bouncing back in the ACC Tournament with an impressive 18-point, six-rebound effort against the Tigers.

Fleming additionally competed against future Cincinnati teammate Myles Colvin during conference play, recording nine points, three rebounds and five assists in that matchup. His experience against elite competition and proven ability to contribute in multiple areas could make him an important piece for a Bearcats roster that is still taking shape under Calhoun.

With Fleming now in the fold, Cincinnati continues building a roster designed to compete immediately in the rugged Big 12 Conference while blending transfers, returning contributors and new arrivals ahead of the upcoming season.

Fleming was 4-star prospect

From Marietta, Georgia, Fleming was a four-star recruit offered by the Bearcats in the Wes Miller regime. Playing at Overtime Elite in Atlanta, he averaged 15.6 points and 4.2 rebounds per game along with 2.1 assists. His team played against former Bearcat Shon Abaev’s Fear of God squad on Nov. 23, 2024, with Fleming scoring 21 points. UC played at Georgia Tech the same day, with the Miller staff visiting Overtime Elite the night before to see Abaev.
