BREAKING: Four Star Talented Player Commit to Hurricanes Over Multiple Programs

The Miami Hurricanes have secured a major commitment from safety, a four-star recruit according to the 247Sports composite rankings. The four-star, from Miami Columbus, announced his decision to join the Hurricanes on Instagram Live, opting for Miami over offers from Florida, Florida State, and LSU. He is ranked as the No. 12 safety in the class, No. 21 prospect in Florida, and No. 130 prospect nationally.

Bryce Fitzgerald, Columbus, Safety

Fitzgerald had a standout junior season at Columbus, his first after transferring from Belen Jesuit, where he made a remarkable impact with 10 interceptions, including five during the playoffs, helping lead the Explorers to their second straight state title. In addition to his football success, he is a key reserve for the three-time state champion Explorers basketball team.

The Miami Hurricanes now have 22 commitments for their 2025 recruiting class, including 10 blue-chip prospects rated as four- or five-star recruits. In the past two months alone, eight of these commitments have been secured. This group includes offensive lineman Seuseu Alofaituli from Las Vegas Bishop Gorman, linebacker Gavin Nix from Bradenton IMG Academy, athlete Hylton Stubbs from Jacksonville Mandarin, cornerback Jaboree Antoine from New Iberia (Louisiana) Westgate, wide receiver Daylyn Upshaw from Phenix City (Alabama) Central, defensive lineman Donta Simpson from Chaminade-Madonna, and edge rusher Mykah Newton from Newberry.

Fitzgerald is the first safety to join Miami’s 2025 class, which also features four cornerbacks: Jaboree Antoine, Amari Wallace from Miami Central, Chris Ewald from Hollywood Chaminade-Madonna, and Timothy Merrit from Birmingham (Alabama) Parker.
